Cecilia Abraham is a passionate poet, writer, and emerging podcaster based in Delhi, India. Born and raised in Hyderabad, Cecilia’s journey as a creative soul has been shaped by her diverse experiences and the vibrant tapestry of Indian culture.

With a Master’s degree in Communication from the University of Hyderabad, Cecilia’s professional path has been as varied as it is fascinating. She has worn many hats – from radio jockey to communications specialist, PR executive to educator. These roles have not only honed her communication skills but have also given her a unique perspective on life and society.

Cecilia’s love affair with words began in her childhood, with her poems finding their way into newspapers and magazines. After a brief hiatus, she rediscovered her artistic voice amidst the beautiful chaos of domesticity and motherhood. Today, she stands as one of the few mature spoken word artists in India, crafting bold, entertaining, and honest poems that reflect the reality of her life.

In 2017, Cecilia published her first book of poems, “Not Just a Housewife,” which challenged societal norms and celebrated the multifaceted nature of women’s lives. Currently, she is working on a passion project documenting the Anglo-Indian community of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, a subject close to her heart for over a decade.

As the wife of an army officer and a mother, Cecilia brings a wealth of life experiences to her writing. Her love for literature, combined with her keen observations of the world around her, fuels her creativity. In 2024, Cecilia is embarking on a new adventure – launching her own podcast and blog, where she aims to share her thoughts on literature, poetry, and life’s myriad experiences.
